The Alfa-Cheque service (m-banking) makes it possible for you to:
• receive an SMS on any operation on your card account to your mobile phone; the number of SMSs is not limited;
• follow any changes in your account balance (both crediting and debiting);
• control the debit amount when withdrawing money from ATMS or using POS-terminals, etc.;
• control the absence of unauthorised write-offs from your card.
You can connect to the SMS-notification service in the My Alfa-Bank system. For this you have to:
1) Press the Services button and select Activate SMS Alfa-Cheque;
2) In the pop-up window enter the telephone number where you want to receive SMS-notifications and press the Next button;
3) A validation code is sent in a text message to your mobile phone number specified when connecting to the service;
4) You will receive a one-time SMS-password, you should enter it as additional identifier and confirm connection to the SMS-notification service by pressing the Confirm button.
Apart from that, you can make a request to be connected to the SMS-notification service by the Bank’s specialists using the My Alfa-Bank service. For this you have to write a request for connection to the service in the Ask a specialist service. In the letter you have to specify your telephone number and the last four letters of your payment card.
Also you can call Alfa-Bank’s hotline (0-800-50-20-50, 24 hours) and apply for connection or basing on you written application completed in a bank branch of Alfa-Bank. You should have your passport and payment card with you.
To disconnect from the M-banking service, you have to complete an application in a bank branch of Alfa-Bank. You should have your passport and payment card with you.
Profitable safe is a special purpose account aimed to save funds and get additional income as interests accrued on the account balance. The funds held in the Profitable safe are kept with increased security as they are not available for withdrawals directly; such funds can be withdrawn after transferring them to the main card account. The more funds are held in Profitable safe, the higher your incomes are.

To carry out transactions on the Internet, you have to disable the CVV2 code verification on the payment card.
CVV2 (Card Verification Value 2) is a three-digit or a four-digit code designed to verify the card in Visa payment system (or a Card Validation Code 2 (CVC2) for MasterCard Worldwide payment system cards). The code is indicated on the reverse side of the card, on the strip for the holder’s signature, or after the last 4 digits of the card number. It is used as a protective element for settlements on the Internet. Enabling of CVV2 verification reduces the risk of illegal transactions with the card, namely unauthorized debiting of the card account.
To disable the CVV2 code in My Alfa-Bank system, you have to select:
1) "Services" - "CVV2 verification".
2) The pop-up window prompts you to select a card for which you wish to enable/disable CVV2 verification. After selecting a card, press "Yes".
3) A window will appear, where you should select "Disable CVV2 verification”.
4) A text message with a verification code will be sent to you to the mobile phone number specified by you when activating the service.
5) You get a one-time SMS password, enter it as an additional identifier, and confirm change of the CVV2 code activity by clicking "Confirm" button.
DCC, Dynamic Conversion Currency, is a service provided by international payment systems to acquirers (banks servicing merchants that accept payment cards) and enabling merchants to nominate the transaction amount to the customer in the currency of the card issuer’s country.
The idea is to show the customer the amount of a transaction in a familiar currency, i.e. the currency of his/her country. Still there are some peculiariaties to be aware of. Firstly, this functionality used to carry out a transaction allows the acquiring bank to charge a fee (understating the conversion rate), which the customers often do not know about; and secondly, such a transaction is commonly accompanied by a double conversion, which also leads to additional costs, as the payment system rate is usually different from the commercial rate of the card issuer. The fee depends on the pricing policy of acquiring banks. The common fee rate ranges from 3 to 7% of the transaction amount.
Firstly, you should always follow a simple rule running as ‘avoid conducting transactions in the national currency when outside the country’, no matter how strongly it might be advised or how tempting it might look.
Secondly, according to the payment system rules, the acquiring bank must obtain the customer’s consent (signature on the check) to use this functionality, so you must be careful.
Also, we would like to draw the customers’ attention to the increased number of transactions conducted with payment cards through multinational companies, which are present in Ukraine, however do not have their representative offices in Ukraine. The peculiarity of such transactions is also a double conversion faced by the customers. The reason is that these multinational companies are able to provide services, selling goods on the territory of Ukraine and nominating their value in local currency, while during settlements, this transaction is usually billed by a retail point of such multinational company from abroad (an analogue to DCC)
A merchant abroad does not need hryvnia, therefore, when settling with the payment system, the amount you heard in the national currency will be converted to the amount of settlement with the IPS (US dollar/euro), and the amount in the settlement currency (US dollar/euro) is billed to the card issueras a payment claim (at the IPS rate). When the issuer) receives an amount in US dollar/euro and sees that the transaction currency does not match the currency of the cardholder's account, the bank must conduct the currency conversion to correspond the customer's account currency. The conversion is carried out at the commercial rate of the issuing bank ruling on the date it receives the transaction from the IPS.
The customer must know it and, where possible, use a foreign currency card for such transactions, thus avoiding the double conversion.
When carrying out a transaction in currencies other than the currency of your account, the amount blocked for this transaction and stated the respective SMS on this transaction may be 5 to 10% higher than the actual cost of the goods due to fluctuations in the hryvnia exchange rate against other currencies.
This mechanism was introduced by the Bank to quickly adjust the transaction amount to the fluctuations in the currency market in order to avoid currency risks. It is primarily convenient for customers, since you do not have to continuously monitor the available balance on your account and worry about unauthorized write-offs from your account.
For such transactions the amount is recalculated into the account currency as follows:
- The payment system converts the transaction amount into the currency of settlements with the Bank (US dollar, euro) at the rate established by such payment system on the date of settlement with the Bank (the amount of funds blocked on the Customer’s account is equal to the cost of goods + 5 to 10%)
- Then the Bank converts the resulting transaction amount into the currency of the Customer's account currency at the Bank’s commercial rate on the date it receives this transaction from the merchant and IPS, and transaction reflection on the Customer's account (usually 2 to 3 days after the transaction date), the previous lock is released, and the transaction is displayed on the Customer's account.
When paying in the currency other than the card account currency, the amount is converted at the rate of the international payment system in the US dollar/euro (these rates are presented at official websites of the international payment systems). The amount is immediately locked in UAH at the Bank’s commercial sale rate applied to the payment cards established on the lock day. After 3 to 4 business days, the account is debited at the commercial sale rate of the Bank applied to payment cards established on the debiting date. You can get a receipt for your payment at any Alfa-Bank branch; you have to have the original passport and your card. You can also visit an Ukrposhta branch, take a blank receipt template for payment and fill it out yourself, specifying the required details for credit card repayment.
The Grace period is the time during which the Bank enables you to use a credit card for payments in trade and service network at a reduced interest rate of 0.01%. This rate applies only upon full repayment of the debt outstanding as at the end of day of the card settlement period. The 1st grace period begins on the date of entering into agreement. All subsequent grace periods begin on the next day after agreement execution every month. The grace period is specified in your card tariffs.
The mandatory minimum payment is a monthly payment (7%, or at least UAH 50) for use of your credit card , which is to be paid by a certain date.
The decision to increase the credit limit is made by the Bank unilaterally, given your credit history. This decision is reported to you by SMS.

You have to make payments to redeem your loan monthly according to your repayment schedule specified in the loan agreement. Still, you can deposit money to the account ahead of schedule, and Alfa-Bank will debit this amount to repay your debt on the due date.

You can use Repay the Loan Online service, which is available at the Bank official website (in the Online Services section). The repayment is carried out from the cards of any bank in any currency (including foreign banks’ cards). The currency of debiting the card is hryvnia. Alfa-Bank does not charge a fee for repayment.
After clicking on Go to Payment, you see the list of cards available for loan repayment:
- from the customer’s cards indicated in the dropdown list;
- from another bank’s card (including the foreign one) by selecting "Other Cards"
Important! If you select "Other Cards", you cannot replenish the account with cards issued by Alfa-Bank.
Attention! You can make a payment via My Alfa-Bank using the cards issued by Ukrainian banks or Visa International/MasterCard International payment systems (MasterCard Electron/Cirrus cards are not accepted in the system). The account currency and the repayment currency is hryvnia.

If you repay the loan via My Alfa-Bank by the card of another bank, please, click on Go to Payment , and select By Another Card
in the resulting list.
Enter the following data in the opened window:
- Card number from which the repayment is made;
- Card expiration date (month and year);
- CVV-code of the card from which the payment is made (the code is displayed on the back of the card, the last three digits on the white card strip), This code must be entered on the right side in CVV line.
- Card holder (in Latin letters, as indicated on the card used for payment);
- Amount of payment in hryvnias.

When repaying through self-service terminals, your money will be credited to the credit account in the bank on the second business day, excluding the payment date, and when the repayment is made on a non-banking day, the money will be credited to the credit account on the third banking day following the last non-banking day.
When you make a payment on the loan through the other banks, the money will be credited to your bank account within 3 to 5 banking days.
Upon repayment through Ukrposhta branches in cities, the funds are credited within 3 banking days, and through branches in rural areas, within 5 banking days.

The next day after payment under loan agreement, you will receive a text message confirming that the funds are credited to your account. Also, you can check the information about crediting of funds for loan repayment:
1) on your personal page at My Alfa-Bank, using the Payment History link
2) by sending sms to short number 3344, indicating the contract number in the message text;
3) in the voice menu when calling Alfa-Bank Contact Center at 0-800-50-20-50. In the automated services, to check the Loan Balance, the customers can call the number of the loan contract/passport or enter the data using the buttons.
Yes, if any regular repayment amount exceeds the required payment, the Bank will accept the difference as the principal repayment. This means that the sum of all future monthly payments will be reduced as a result of recalculation of the current loan balance. When the amount of payment is greater than indicated in the schedule, the monthly repayment obligations shall remain valid until the contract closing date.
When repaying the loan by greater amounts, such amounts are credited to redeem the outstanding loan amount.

To close the loan, you have to:
1) Clarify the amount needed to close the loan in any if the following ways available to you:
- On your personal page at My Alfa-Bank in Loans section;

2) Pay the amount to close the loan via any repayment route provided for by Alfa-Bank.

Please, note that if you have enough money for full loan repayment, the contract is closed automatically on the nearest maturity date according to the schedule.
4 days after official closing of the Loan Agreement, you will receive SMS from the Bank confirming this fact.

In order to terminate the insurance contract, you should visit the office of your insurance company and conduct a termination procedure.

The loan must be repaid monthly prior to the specified date in the amount not less than provided for by the payment schedule.

During the active transactions in the online banking, SMS with the transaction confirmation code is sent to the phone number of a Ukrainian mobile operator only.
After product registration, the system functionality will become available for activation during a business day after your application is confirmed in the System. Once the application is processed, the information window will appear on your personal page with a hyperlink to Activate the Service

1. My Alfa-Bank allows Alfa-Bank customers to carry out the transactions in the territory of Ukraine only.
2. Payments in foreign currency are possible between accounts of the same customer only.
3. The loan can be repaid via My Alfa-Bank using the cards issued by Ukrainian banks and Visa International/MasterCard International payment systems only (MasterCard Electron/Cirrus card are not accepted in the system). Account currency and repayment currency is hryvnia.
4. Transfer of funds to WebMoney purse (purse replenishment) is possible only from cards issued by Alfa-Bank in the national currency and in US dollars, but the purse currency must be hryvnia only.
5. Transfer of funds from WebMoney purse (money withdrawal from the purse) is possible only to card accounts opened in Alfa-Bank in hryvnia. This purse currency should be hryvnia.
6. Alfa-Bank PJSC works only with WebMoney purses in hryvnia (WMU-purses).
7. My Alfa-Bank does not allow the following transactions with WebMoney purses:
- WebMoney purse replenishment from cards issued by other banks;
- Purse replenishment from deposit and current accounts of Alfa-Bank;
- Cash transfer from the purse to the cards issued by other banks;
- Cash transfer from the purse to current and deposit accounts in national and foreign currencies.
8. My Alfa-Bank does not provide for deposit opening for the benefit of third parties, in the name of other individuals, in the name of minors and juveniles.
- The deposit cannot be opened online by a minor (even with Alfa-Bank debit card).
- Deposit cannot be opened from the debit card with a current overdraft.
- The funds can be transferred on deposit from the card account of the Depositor’s debit card opened with Alfa-Bank PJSC only.
To change the contact phone number/e-mail address in My Alfa-Bank, you have to visit the Bank branch to write an application on data change. You should have a passport (original).

- Card number from which the repayment is made;
- Card expiration date (month and year);
- CVV-code of the card from which the payment is made (the code is displayed on the reverse of the card, the last three digits on the white card strip), this code must be entered on the right side in the CVV line.
- The card holder (in Latin letters, as indicated on the card used for payment);
