На звичайну роботу Альфа-Банку Україна санкції по відношенню до М.Фрідмана та П.Авена не впливають / The sanctions against the bank's shareholders - M. Fridman and P. Aven do not affect the day-to-day operation of Alfa-Bank Ukraine

28 лютого 2022 года ЄС застосував санкції до деяких бізнесменів. Оголошені санкції по відношенню до акціонерів - М.Фрідмана та П.Авена стосуються ВИКЛЮЧНО приватних осіб, та на бізнес Альфа-Банку в Україні не впливають. США та Великобританія НЕ застосували санкції до М.Фрідмана та П.Авена, в їх юрисдикціях для вказаних бізнесменів немає жодних санкційних обмежень.

Михайло Фрідман (32,86%) та Петро Авен (12.40%), дійсно, є акціонерами ABH Holdings S.A. Але дана частка не є контрольним пакетом володіння, що неодноразово підтверджувалось регулюючими органами України.

У зв’язку із цим, санкції стосуються акціонерів, як приватних осіб, а не банку в цілому. На звичайну роботу Альфа-Банку Україна санкції не впливають. Банк працює без обмежень.

Більше того, розглядається питання зміни структури власності банку задля відповідності вимогам міжнародного та національного законодавства та забезпечення безперебійної роботи та сервісу для клієнтів.

The sanctions against the bank's shareholders - M. Fridman and P. Aven do not affect the day-to-day operation of Alfa-Bank Ukraine. The Bank carries out its operations without any restrictions.

On February 28, 2022, the EU imposed sanctions on a number of businessmen. The sanctions announced on the bank's shareholders - M. Fridman and P. Aven apply ONLY to the individuals, and do not have impact on Alfa-Bank’s operation in Ukraine. The United States and the UK have NOT imposed sanctions against M. Fridman and P. Aven; no restrictions apply to the above-mentioned businessmen in their jurisdictions.

Certainly, Mikhail Fridman (32.86%) and Petr Aven (12.40%) are the shareholders of ABH Holdings S.A., however, their share is not a controlling ownership stake; this has been formally confirmed by the Regulatory Bodies of Ukraine on several occasions.
In this regard, the sanctions apply only to the shareholders, i.e., the individuals, but not to the bank as a whole. Therefore, they don’t have impact on Alfa-Bank Ukraine that will operate as normal. Now, the Bank operates without any restrictions.

Moreover, the issue of changing the Bank's ownership structure is being considered now in order to comply with the requirements set out in the international and national laws and ensure uninterrupted operation and customer service.

At the moment, the Bank continues to operate in accordance with the NBU resolution On Operation of the Banking System under Martial Law. All critical functions provided by the Bank have been set up in record time to ensure the operation of branches, ATMs replenishment, payments by the corporate customers, and uninterrupted online services via the Sense digital bank.
